Bell & Ross has signed a new testimonial for their women’s watches, racing driver Carmen Jorda, currently development driver for the Renault Sport Racing team. In the photo below she is wearing the BR S Diamond Eagle, a watch presented at Baselworld 2016, and the brand’s latest women’s watch. Bell & Ross announced their partnership with the Renault Sport Formula One team in February 2016.
BR S Diamond Eagle
The BR S Diamond Eagle retains Bell & Ross’s association with aviation, by means of its hallmark square case shape, recalling cockpit instruments, and the constellation of diamonds forming the Eagle constellation (Aquila) on the deep blue sunburst dial. The seven gems have different sizes corresponding to the luminosity of the stars, including the brightest, Altair. The hour markers are in the form of small faceted metal studs that harmonize well with the diamonds. The case, 39 x 39 mm, has a solid caseback and a water resistance of 10 bar/100 metres. It is mounted with a midnight blue alligator strap with steel pin buckle. Two versions of the watch are made, one with a diamond-set bezel.
The movement is a Swiss quartz calibre. The caseback has an engraving of the same Aquila constellation as on the dial.
