Unimatic, mechanical watches from Milan
Unimatic was founded by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato in 2015. They currently make four lines, U1, U2, U3 and U4, with prices from €400 to €1,000. They have a showroom in Milan in Via Meravigli 18, a short walk from Milan’s Cathedral. The showroom is open Tues-Sat, 11 am-7pm.
Giovanni and Simone studied design at Politecnico di Milano, and they shared an enthusiasm for mechanical watches. Their design style is minimalist, with hour markers in the form of circles, triangles and rectangles, a wide, flat bezel, functional strap, and pure colours. Limited editions include collaborations with themes such as SpongeBob. Their watches are fitted with mechanical movements such as Seiko NH35A and Sellita SW200-1.
