echo/neutra was founded by Nicola Callegaro (designer) and Cristiano Quaglia (product developer). Their company, echo/neutra, is based in Piove di Sacco (Veneto), 35028, Italy. Callegato and Quaglia share a passion for watches, mountains and adventure sports. Their base in Piove di Sacco is not so far from the Dolomites, mountains that provide inspiration for their timepieces that are designed to be reliable, iconic and emotively magnetic. Nicola and Cristiano founded their brand in 2018, deciding to manufacture exclusively mechanical watches with Swiss movement, in order to offer customers the finest possible quality at an approachable price. The name “echo/neutra” contains a reference to Austrian-American designer Richard Neutra (1892-1970) who spent most of his career in southern California, building many houses there as well as in Switzerland, Germany and France. His design approach was for homes “ready for anything,” flexible and suitable for any type of life.

echo/neutra’s first collection, Averau, was launched through a Kickstarter crowdfunding operation in 2018. This was followed by Cortina 1956, followed by their professional diver, the Cristallo (the name comes from another peak in the Dolomites). Their watches are priced from about €690 to €1,970.
