You’ve got to love it, that furry strap and skull at the centre are just so way out! Not even Roberto Cavalli would do something so extreme. Cvstos is a young and exuberant watchmaking brand, founded in 2005, and this piece is a good example of their approach to watch design. The name Cvstos comes from Latin, meaning “guardian,” and its watches have something of the high-tech, tongue-in-cheek irony that you can see in watches by Richard Mille and Romain Jerome. Most of their watches are in tonneau-shaped cases which strengthens similarities to Richard Mille. The Re-Belle Lady Charms Skull is an example, with a tonneau-chaped case 47.2 mm high and 36 mm wide, in steel or red gold, housing a Cvstos 551 Automatic movement providing hours and minutes, with a 42-hour power reserve. Sapphire caseback.
