This chronograph is part of Hamilton‘s new Broadway collection inspired by New York’s skyscrapers, and it is accompanied by the three-hand day-date model and a quartz version.
The Hamilton Broadway Auto Chrono 43mm has the same elegantly curving steel case as the three-hand Day-Date version, but it looks a lot thicker. The case is in fact 43 mm in diameter and 15 mm thick, waterproof to 10 bar (100 metres). The chronograph pushers are very subtle and integrate well into the case design. The crown is screw-down. There is a tachymetric scale on the bezel. The “skyscraper”-style hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLuminova, and likewise the red-pointed seconds hand. Day and date windows at 3 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the H-21 calibre, which is an improved version of the trusty Valjoux 7750 movement, providing 60 hours power reserve.
The Broadway Chronograph costs €1,795 in the version with leather strap, and €1,845 in the version with steel bracelet. Available from June-July 2016.
