This is a really attractive watch, with its carioca colours on the ceramic bezel, the jaunty skeletonized hands with their differentiated SuperLuminova, and the wavy dial decoration, not a reference to the sea but rather to the two-tone paving design of Copacabana’s beachside promenade. The solid caseback is embossed with the Rio 2016 Olympic Games logo and engraved with the limited edition number: just 3,016 pieces will be produced. It celebrates Omega’s role as Official Timekeeper for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The piece has all the classic diving watch features, with unidirectional rotating bezel, water resistance 30 bar/300 metres, plus a helium escape valve at 10 o’clock. The movement is the self-winding Omega 2500 co-axial movement, with a power reserve of 48 hours. It is COSC-certified. The watch has a stainless steel bracelet. The photo below shows the nice SuperLuminova with differentiated colours.
Price of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016
The price of this limited-edition piece is €4,000, a bit more than that of the Seamaster 300M 41 mm, which costs €3,600. It should be in boutiques in late June 2016. Highly collectable.

This watch is AMAZING! I just bought it and almost instantly fell in love:D I think It’s much nicer than the standard seamaster (which is beautiful as well), but what I like the most about it is that super luminova is on the bazel! The watch looks amazing after you’ve come inside a building on a sunny day and entered some shady area it’s like the whole watch is glowing (and it adds beauty to the watch!:). Plus it’s only 3000 pieces:D It let’s me feel special:) Thank you Omega!
Got this one and truly satisfied with it. The super luminova is so cool and fits my diving hobby. Features are all wonderful plus the added tri color are quite unique and its stainless bracelet added a more smarter lookin’ watch. Great buy indeed…….
