For the first time, Montblanc introduces its in-house ExoTourbillon to the women’s Bohème collection. The dial of the ExoTourbillon Slim is in mother-of-pearl; the bezel is set with 58 diamonds (about 1.39 carats). The red gold case is 38 mm in diameter, and 9.37 mm thick, 3 bar water resistance. The watch has a black alligator strap with red gold pin buckle, set with a buckle inside the Montblanc star.
The movement is the automatic MB M29.24, with a one-minute ExoTourbillon that has long been a feature amongst Montblanc’s complications. The ExoTourbillon has a larger balance wheel with respect to most tourbillons, and the cage does not actually enclose the balance. This makes the movement more theatrical, with the balance in full view, with 18 screws, 14 of which are ornamental and 4 are functional, used to adjust precision. It runs at 3 Hertz, 21,600 vibrations per hour. There is a red arrow on the tourbillon cage, indicating the seconds. The stop-second function enables the cage to be stopped at zero so that the watch can be set to a time signal; in this way you can see exactly how precise the tourbillon movement is.
The barrel provides 48 hours’ power reserve. The MB M29.24 movement is just 4.5 mm thick, achieved in part by having a micro-rotor within the thickness of the mainplate. This also improves visibility of the movement through the sapphire caseback. The movement is decorated with the usual techniques, such as Côtes de Genève “en éventail” on the bridges and micro-rotor, mirror polishing on the tourbillon bridge, satin finish on the mainplate, and sunray finish on the plate below the micro-rotor.

A more elaborate version of the Montblanc Bohème ExoTourbillon Slim is available, a Jewellery watch with 144 diamonds (0.531 carats) on the dial.
