In this 85th anniversary year of the Reverso, it’s not surprising that Jaeger-LeCoultre are looking back to the features of the original 1930s model, with its Art Deco case, black dial and graceful Arabic numerals. As always with Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Reverso One Réédition conceals a lot of careful design thought. For example, the numerals of different sizes that combine to form a lovely composition. It’s a women’s watch, an everyday timepiece but also perfect for the evening. There is a range of textures, polished and brushed steel, sunburst guilloche on the dial, and a different sunburst design inside the cradle, revealed when you swivel the watch. The caseback is ideal for personalization with initials or phrases, something that Jaeger-LeCoultre can do in their factory at a cost of from about €200, delivery time 8 weeks.
The watch has a steel case, 32.5 mm by 16.3 mm, 7 mm thick, water resistance 3 bar, 30 metres. The strap is in black alligator leather with steel folding clasp. The quartz movement provides hours and minutes.
