W.O.I. Watches Of Italy returns for its third edition on 15 and 16 October 2022.
The sparkling vitality of Italy’s growing fine timepiece industry is perfectly expressed by the show Watches Of Italy, held for the first time in 2020 and this year returning on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October 2022 in Tortona.
The show’s principal objective remains unchanged: enabling customers to come into direct contact with watches made in Italy, and the people who design, make and market them. Visitors can meet the artisans and buy the watches, in addition to accessories such as straps, bracelets, cases and so forth. The concept of reaching as wide a public as possible is demonstrated by free entrance for visitors. Likewise, artisanal watchmakers are also facilitated by the highly accessible rates for stands at the show.
New this year is W.O.I. Vintage, dedicated to the exhibition and sale of historic, antique and collectors’ timepieces. This part of the show will be in a dedicated hall at the venue, Museo Orsi. Here, visitors and exhibitors can buy, sell and exchange their historic timepieces. Collectors who wish to exhibit their watches at W.O.I. Vintage do not have to be professional vendors, but all transactions and exchanges will have to be accompanied by a fiscal receipt and a declaration of lawful provenance provided by the vendor.
Fabrizio Dellachà, creator and coordinator of the group W.O.I. Watches Of Italy, said, “Watches Of Italy is the ideal setting in which to launch world premières.” Without doubt the exhibitors will provide information on the new pieces they are presenting closer to the event. Silvia Bonfanti, communications manager and press officer, said, “Watches represent a significant part of Italian crafts. In fact, we are working on the organisation of a forum for debates and conversations with personalities in the sector, in order to explore the industry situation in Italy, analyse market trends and map the future of watchmaking.” Federico Chiodi, Mayor of Tortona, commented, “Tortona confirms its identity as a location for quality events of national importance, such as W.O.I. Watches of Italy, which has become a prestigious appointment for our city.”

The location is the same as for the previous editions, “Museo delle Macchine Agricole Orsi”, Via Emilia 446, Tortona (province of Alessandria), open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, 15 and 16 October 2022, admission free. Access is easy, the location is a 10-minute walk from the Tortona railway station. For visitors arriving by car, there is free parking on Via Professor Pio Evasio Cereti which leads into a square entirely dedicated to free parking.
On-site catering facilities comprise the local speciality, agnolotti made by Ristorante Montecarlo, the official catering supplier for the Lamborghini Trophy, and beer by Birrificio Montegioco, one of the finest crafts breweries in Italy. Terre Derthona, an association that represents the finest local food and wine specialities, will also be present with its prestigious labels and culinary delicacies. Updates on 22 July and 7 August 2022: This post has been modified with the new dates of the show. Watches Of Italy was originally planned for 24 and 25 September, but elections have now been planned for Sunday 25 September and so the organizers decided to postpone the show. The second update regards the venue for W.O.I. Vintage, directly at Museo Orsi.
