We were used to seeing this watch in the green and yellow scheme designed especially for brand ambassador Yohan Blake, second fastest man in the world after fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt. The Richard Mille RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Monochrome has been given a black and white colour scheme, and it is a limited edition of 50 pieces available exclusively at Richard Mille boutiques in Geneva, Paris, London Mount Street, Harrods, Milan, Monaco, Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Doha. The case of the RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Monochrome is in black TZP-N ceramic with a caseband in NTPT® carbon, but its most unusual feature is its asymmetry, longer from top to bottom on the crown side. This is accentuated by the white flying bridges that sweep across the skeletonized movement. What look like pushers on each side of the drown are in fact crown protectors, designed to increase the protection for the watch which was made to be used during sports activities.
The skeletonised RMUL2 movement has two mainspring barrels providing 55 hours power reserve. Richard Mille built the watch specifically for high impact resistance, and the RM 61-01 was tested to 5,000 G and above.
Price about €125,000.
