Like the Bremont Regatta Otusa, the Bremont Regatta AC is a chronograph that has been modified, the chronograph minutes counter adapted to create a 5-minute countdown function in an arc window at 12 o’clock. The Regatta AC by Bremont is available in two versions, in rose gold and hardened polished steel.
Its dial design is more classical than the Otusa, with Arabic numerals, and elegant blued steel hands with SuperLuminova. There is a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and continuous seconds at 9 o’clock. The countdown windows have been simplified, with no numerals and only a 5-minute timer on two arcs. When you press the chronograph start pusher, the white window progressively reveals the word “START”, while the red arc counts down from 5, progressively becoming white. After 5 minutes, the two arcs recommence their cycle.
The bezel is fixed; the three-part case has a DLC-treated caseband. Water resistance is 10 atm, 100 metres. The watch is 43 mm in diameter and 16 mm thick.
The watch has an automatic movement, Swiss made by La Joux-Perret. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hertz) and provides a power reserve of 42 hours. It is chronometer-certified by COSC.
