Archimede have introduced a new, slim pilot’s watch. The Pilot HW 42 has a hand-wound movement (Sellita SW 215), whose thickness of 3.35 mm enables a case size of just 8.6 mm. This compares to the 9.9 mm of the brand’s automatic Pilot’s 42.
Display caseback
The watch has a sapphire crystal caseback that reveals the movement, well engineered, with basic finish. It will please everyone who likes the look of hand-wound movements. The balance wheel looks quite large, but it runs at the standard 28,800 vibrations per hour, 4 Hertz. Power reserve is 42 hours.
Classic Type A dial
The dial is the classic Type A pilot’s, no logo, no date, markings with SuperLuminova, blued steel hands with SuperLuminova. The watch has a riveted leather strap. A very attractive piece, now with the slim profile that makes this 42 mm watch wearable on just about all wrists. You can choose the colour of the leather strap (black, dark brown, light brown) and a steel bracelet is also available.
