Ulysse Nardin have an impressive ability to make watches that look very different to most and that incorporate a lot of design thought. The Executive Lady, a model first introduced in 1996, is a watch for women in three stylish colours with a lot of diamond glitter on bezel and dial, but nonetheless it has a useful function, a second time zone, and easy adjustment by means of ceramic pushers on the caseband. Home time is shown in the circular window at 9 o’clock, local time on the main hour and minute hands, and you can adjust local time in one-hour jumps using the pushers at 8 and 10 o’clock. At 2 o’clock there is a big date display which can also be corrected forwards and backwards. The dial is unusual with its rectangular section of white mother-of-pearl, framed by one of three colours, with a circular continuous seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.
The case is 40 mm in diameter, in stainless steel, with 49 diamonds on the dial, 60 on the bezel and 28 on the case, while the crown is decorated with ceramic pearls. The watch has a transparent sapphire caseback revealing the movement, and a strap in leather with colour matching the dial. Water resistance is 50 metres.
The UN-24 movement is self-winding, providing 42 hours power reserve. It is probably based on a third-party movement with an additional in-house module for the GMT function.
The Ulysse Nardin Executive Lady is reference 243-10B/30-07, 243-10B/30-05, and 243-10B/391, according to the dial colour.
